MEMORABLE: Poly ASB member and photographer Michael Frost shares his favorite memories from high school!

Michael Frost is known on Poly campus as one of the friendliest students. Having been in ASB, Bear Pals, Art Club, and Spanish Honors Society, Michael has has a chance to make so many friends. He feels that, especially during ASB, he was outside his “comfort zone,” but with the support of his friends he learned how to be a leader.

On top of being known for his involvement on campus, Michael also is known for his amazing photoshop art on his Instagram page (@thepuppetmaster14) which many Poly students follow.

Michael believes that the most embarrassing moment he had at Poly was when people started talking to him during his freshman year, a time at which he was uncomfortable with new people. We are all happy to say that he has overcome this fear, becoming everyone’s best friend. His favorite teacher was Mr. Dodson because he made him feel confident and encouraged him to “never give up on [his] dreams no matter what.” If Michael could go back to any time in his high school experience, he would go back to freshman year. He feels that he “was nervous and now as a senior, [he is] not afraid” of any challenges that may come. He is way more confident in his own abilities. His motivation, especially looking back at freshman year, is to “let go of the past and keep moving forward.”

Michael hopes that the classes to come will realize “how much fun our football games, dances, and clubs are” because there are some valuable learning experiences and friends that can be made from these experiences. If there is one thing that he hopes the class of 2025 will be remembered for, it is for creating a fun and inclusive environment at all ASB events, assemblies, clubs, dances, and sports games. Michael’s message to all future freshmen is to remember that they “are worthy [and] have what it takes to be what you want to be, [so] always keep moving forward … because no matter what [they] choose to do in life, success and glory can be achieved.”

After graduating, Michael has plans to “become a future special Olympics coach for swim, bowling, and golf” as well as studying art and photography at Riverside Community College.  Michael Frost is going to be missed by all of the returning Poly Bears and his fellow seniors. Many are grateful to have gotten the chance to get closer to Michael over the past fours years.
