One of the many clubs at Poly, Video Crew, faces some new and significant challenges as the year begins.
In an interview with Mr. Enyeart, the club’s advisor, Enyeart was asked some questions with regards to the goals of Video Crew. Some of their goals include building the FTV program, a program where the Video Crew posts all of their projects like the recent theater performance “Murder On The Orient Express.”
Video Crew faces significant challenges—like moving to a smaller classroom—trying to complete the various projects planned this year. The movement was due to some restructuring of programs with the VAPA department. The smaller classroom provides the challenge and setback of not having all of their materials due to the minimal space to store the items needed.
For now, they have a classroom, but are moving to a different one with hopefully more space. Mr. Enyeart says “I plan to have everything settled in by the end of this year.”
Some of the plans for the future include attempting to make a broadcast on Poly Spotlight articles when they come out. This broadcast will make it more entertaining to see the news stories from the Poly Spotlight articles.
With these broadcasts they also plan to broadcast news of what is happening approximately every week. This broadcast will be similar to the daily announcements with what they cover and will roughly happen every week.
While Video Crew does not know exactly the projects they will do, they still have some plans for projects. Some of their other projects include homecoming, Trunk or Treat, as well as other projects that are still in progress.
Video Crew will conduct lunch time interviews almost every week. These interviews can contain a variety of questions and subjects, ranging from highly complex questions to something as simple as whether someone would choose green or orange.
They also plan to make a multi-camera production of the next play performed at Poly. These broadcasts of the play performances will be uploaded to the YouTube channel “Riverside Poly FTV.”
When asked a question on how students should go about joining Video Crew. Mr. Enyeart responded by saying that those who are interested should either give Mr. Enyeart a quick G-mail at [email protected] or go to room 110. This makes it really easy to join, especially when the goal is to gain more awareness of the club.
