APPLICATIONS: New “Grades” app revolutionizes how students deal with their classes and marks.

Stressing about grades is in the second nature for high school students these days. The release of this new app makes stressing about grades a tad bit more bearable. “Grades” finally answers the question, “What grade do I need to get on my next test?” While you don’t need to shoot for an A-, certainly an application like this has huge potential for being on the homescreen.

The basic layout of the app consists of a list of the classes in which a student is enrolled, each a different color which clearly distinguishes one from another. Each section provides a pull down menu with every assignment listed in chronological order and the grade listed to the side.

The hassle of logging in every time a student wants to check his/her grades can be a little redundant at times, but with this application, you log in once and can continue to close and relaunch the app with ease. It saves time and encourages more frequent visits to the gradebook, with a tap of an icon and you are there, a process void of hassle, “You must enable cookies” messages and other obstacles.

The qualities of this app make it a necessity for students here at Poly. “The Aeries app is so convenient and a necessity for me throughout the year. Taking a lot of AP classes can be stressful and ‘Grades’ allows me to easily keep track of them,” Danielle Oyama (11) said. Even students new to campus  have positive comments about the app. “I’m so happy that this app became available for freshmen. Although I’m not juggling a lot of difficult classes, it’s still really accessible for students,” Kaizen Schanz (9) said.

Something as small as an app can make a substantial difference in the the way students deal with their courses. “This app has really changed the way I deal with my schoolwork. I’ve really seen a change.” Grayson Cannon-Lass (11) stated.
