Break-ups hurt.

This is true regardless of who, what, where or why. Although most people wish to remain on good terms with their exes after their break-ups, it can be painful to be around someone you still have feelings for and to keep those feelings contained.

One second, you were together and everything was fine, and the next it was good-bye. This boy is probably not trying to hurt you. If anything, he is only trying to protect himself. Try going out of way to talk to him about it, but don’t make a public spectacle of attempting to regain his acquaintance. Tell him how you feel; he cares about you, so he should understand.

If things do not quite work, don’t feel blue. Be happy for the good times and memories you had with this boy, and be open to new good times and memories with your friends, your family and (if you have one) your new love interest.
