March 5th: Boys’ Golf wins its league opener against North while Boys’ and Girls’ Swim both win non-league match-ups against Ramona.
Boys’ Golf: Poly 215 North 268
The Boys’ Golf team ran its record to 2-0 with a dominating victory over city rival North HS. Poly had two golfers with match-low scores of 40, including Tristan Stone (11).
Boys’ Swim: Poly 119 Ramona 50
Led by a lightning fast 100 freestyle race from Michael Ricketts (12) the Poly boys devastated neighboring high school Ramona in a non-league meet.
Girls’ Swim: Poly 146 Ramona 17
The Poly girls’ allowed only 17 points in a suffocating win over Ramona. Highlights included 1-2-3 sweeps in both the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
