SCHOLAR: An Introduction to Isabel Yrungaray.

Isabel Yrungaray is a sophomore at Poly High School who is in ASB and coaches synchro. She plays water polo and has strangely fainted in the pool, due to holding her breath for too long. Yrungaray (10) also has an older sister named Anna (12), a younger sister named Eva (2), and also a twin brother named Adam (15). She is a big fan of ASB where she builds balloon arches and makes posters for school events and sports games. Along with ASB, she is in the National Honors Society, and the Red Cross Club. Currently Isabel is taking AP Spanish Literature, Accelerated Math 3, Honors Chemistry, and is in the DLI program. While taking these she is still able to maintain an impressive 4.5 GPA. In the future she plans to go to Yale and major in Biology. Career wise Yrungaray wants to study to become a psychiatrist due to her love of helping people. She would describe herself in three words as outgoing because she is very friendly and extroverted, energetic because she likes to have fun and keep everything lively, and genuine because she always wants to tell the truth, even if it’s not what one would want to hear. Over last summer she went to Utah and Arizona on a trip with her family, and in 2019 she and her family went to Japan. Her exciting travels display that the Yrungarays like to have fun in life as a family and always look forward to the future.
