September 6, 2026. American Film Studio, A24 released the teaser trailer for a new documentary on former billionaire, Elizabeth Holmes. “You Can See Everything” stars Nathan Fielder (Nathan For You, the Rehearsal) and is directed by Lance Oppenheim (Some Kind of Heaven, Primetime) and is set to premiere this October.

Elizabeth Holmes, born 1984, is an American entrepreneur (and felon). She is known for her artificial deep voice and biotech company, Theranos. The latter was founded in 2003 while Holmes was still a student at Stanford University.

Theranos claimed they would be able to test for a wide array of diseases, including cancer, using only a small drop of blood (compared to the vials needed for traditional blood tests) run through the companies’ “Edison” devices.

At its height, Theranos was valued at 9 billion dollars, its investors including high profiled individuals such as Robert Murdach, Larry Elison, and the Walton Family.

Holmes continued to hold a fifty percent stake in the company, bringing her net worth up to an estimated 4.5 billion. It all came to an end in 2015 when the Wall Street Journal published a damning investigative article on Theranos.

Two whistleblowers, Tyler Shultz and Erika Cheung, had leaked that Theranos forging diagnosis results. This revealed that the Edison devices, which were claimed to detect diseases, were knowingly unreliable. Holmes even diluted the samples and put them through third party blood detectors purchased from their competitor, Siemens.

Holmes was found guilty on eleven counts of fraud, being sentenced to 135 months in federal prison (11 years and 3 months), but is currently serving a reduced sentence of 123 months (10 years and 3 months). However, on September 23-24 of 2026, Elizabeth Holmes’ sentence in federal prison was reduced even more. Holmes will be transferred to a halfway house (Austin Transitional Center) on August 23, 2027.

Elizabeth Holmes is the focal subject in Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s documentary “You Can See Everything.” The Emmy nominee filmmaker, Nathan Fielder is a University of Victoria graduate. He is known for his awkward style and blurring the lines between reality and fiction, who can be recognized from “Nathan for You” or “The Rehearsal.”Filmmakers Lance Oppenheim, Harvard graduate, is known for his cinematic style that delves into American culture and niche communities like “Some Kind of Heaven” and “Ren Faire” on HBO. These two acclaimed filmmakers came together to make “You can see everything” 34 days before Elizabeth Holmes is scheduled to be sent to federal prison. She invited a film crew to document her and her life, starting as a few weeks to gather some insight on her fraud, turning into a rigorous three years of looking into Holmes’ legal journey to eventually find out “why?”.

On September 7, 2026, the 53rd Telluride Film Festival was the first surprise screening of “You Can See Everything”, the 2 hour and 55 minute long documentary, receiving positive reviews.

The trailer then went viral, garnering roughly 200,000 views. However, a specific clip became even more popular, where Holmes stares at the camera eerily while saying “I don’t have anything to deceive you on. Of course I’m not deceiving you. I’m engaging with you as a human being. Why would I deceive you? There’s no reason for me to do that,” to Fielder. This clip has become a meme on multiple social media platforms, bringing attention to the film.

On October 16 2026 we will see the unraveling of Elizabeth Holmes journey through her fraudulence that was Theranos in theatres.
